Due to medication side effects, my scalp erupted in a horrible rash. My GP was pretty dismissive of my problem, but my scalp was itchy and painful. I first tried Neutrogena T/Sal which is a 3% salicylic acid shampoo. It worked okay, but I found it to be too drying to keep using on a regular basis.In desperation, I finally tried this shampoo even though I thought it wouldn't work since I don't have dandruff, but I'm really glad I did. This shampoo is gentle and effective. It has a small amount of fragrance in it, but I can still use it. I have very sensitive skin that normally cannot tolerate fragrance, but this shampoo works just fine at curbing my scalp irritation and did not irritate my skin whatsoever. I wet my hair, apply it to my scalp, lather it up (focusing on the scalp), wait a few minutes, and then rinse.
