I've been using curling irons for decades and this is the worst one I've ever used.First, this iron boasts 30 heat settings for "precise styling control." Well, goody, but the heat settings are UNNUMBERED on a wheel that spins around freely. So if you want setting 11, you have to start at the beginning and count 11 lines until you get where you want to be. If you come back the next day, there is no indication what setting the wheel is on. Are you still on number 11, or did the wheel spin to a different setting? This may sound petty, but it's a huge design flaw, in my opinion. Next, you are supplied a glove so that you don't burn your fingers when you wind your hair around the barrel. But you are warned that you can't touch the barrel while wearing the glove, as it doesn't offer any real protection. So then how exactly are you supposed to hold the ends of your hair against the barrel in order to curl them? (Answer: you can't.) I could perhaps... The Remington Keratin Therapy Curling Wand is a great curling iron. It has Auto shut-off after 60 minutes (in case you accidentally leave it on). A 30 second heat-up time with 30 different heat settings up to 400 degrees F. The Keratin-infused Ceramic barrel is specially designed to achieve healthy shine and prevent heat damage. This curling iron is clip-less and requires a heat glove for use. This isn't a big deal and in the end it's easier to use and you get bigger and more beautiful curls.I absolutely love this curling iron, I only wish I would've tried it sooner. |
